Sounds like the operating system upgrade moved things around and Thunderbird cannot find them anymore. Why does Windows 10 add nothing but inconvenience. Please post image of : Tools>Options>Attachments>Incoming window make sure it shows everything in that window, even if this means posting two images to show anything revealed after scrolling. Did you reinstall all of these various MS Office apps after upgrading to Windows 10 ? That's another issue I've been having. Look for and select TWINUI. I don't know if this an Office or Firefox issue.

Both are "Microsoft Office 2010" with one being 14.0.4761.1000 that says its for allowing the opening of Office apps. I can open these docs under Vista, Windows 7 and 8.1 so its not corupt. Alan I upgraded to Windows 10 and included Office word in the apps. Please remember to click "Propose As Answer" if a post solves your problem or "Vote As Helpful" if it was useful. That's not as much of an issue for Word 2010 as it was for earlier versions, so might not be a factor. I can no longer open Word attachments sent by client in their emails to me.
